Dr. Joe C. Nelson

Hi, I’m Dr. Joe. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of JClinic LLC. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families facing everything from addiction and betrayal trauma to anxiety, relationship struggles, and life transitions. My focus is always on creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and understood.

My MBA concentration in Business Law also strengthens my leadership, advocacy, and organizational expertise in supporting clients and building innovative mental health services.

My approach is straightforward and compassionate. I don’t believe in stuffy therapy, but I believe in real conversations that help you gain insight, discover your strengths, and take practical steps forward. Clients often tell me they appreciate my honesty, warmth, and the way I make even the hardest topics feel manageable with a little humor!

Ms. Meagan Vowels

Hi, I’m Meagan. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over a decade of experience working with children, teens, and adults. I specialize in supporting kids and families navigating ADHD, autism, mood disorders, and behavioral challenges and as a mom, including to a child with special needs, I truly understand the ups and downs families face.

My approach is down-to-earth and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel like a genuine conversation where you’re supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. Clients often share that our work together helps them build confidence, find better coping tools, and feel more at ease in their daily lives.

Hi, I’m Beth. I’m a Certified Social Worker working under the supervision of Dr. Joe Nelson as I continue working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 25 years teaching English and social work at the community college level, where I loved helping students build confidence, find their voice, and move toward their goals. A few years ago, I transitioned from the classroom to the therapy room so I could continue supporting people in a more personal and meaningful way.

In my work, I support adults from many backgrounds who are navigating challenges such as addiction, childhood trauma, divorce, depression, grief, and identity exploration, including LGBTQ individuals and families. My approach is person centered and supportive. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation where you can work through anxiety, quiet harsh self talk, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and balanced. I’m also the mother of three young adults, which continues to shape the way I work with individuals and families.
